|
Kathy was a very important member of our profession until her passing in early 2011. Among many other things Kathy played a major role in the roll out of ICD-10-CA and CCI in Saskatoon in 2001 and was also a Provincial Trainer for Saskatchewan. Her strong commitment to her work made her an ideal Classifications Specialist for CIHI where she developed and delivered education sessions relating to coding practices and the application of ICD-10-CA and CCI, responding to the Coding Query Database, the development of national coding standards and the enhancement and maintenace of the coding classifications. Kathy's dedication to our career and quest for perfection made her an invaluable resource for HIM's in our region, province and indeed our country.
